visa. Instruction and forms for obtaining a visa will be
provided after you have registered.

The Kingdom of Thailand does not require any immunizations
for entry into Thailand. However, you should consult with
your physician concerning your personal need for
immunizations.
Will I have time for travel within Thailand?
After arrival in Thailand you will have a tour day in
Bangkok. The first weekend at the project site you will
have a "jungle safari day". Additionally, weekend travel
with your hosts and holidays will provide many opportunities
for travel within Thailand.
What type of clothing is required?
While at the project females should wear skirts or slacks
and tops with collars and sleeves. Males should wear
trousers and sport shirts. Shoes for males can be sneaks or
regulars shoes, females should wear sneaks or closed toe
shoes. For weekends and/or evenings, casual clothing just
as you would wear at home, is recommended.
Will I have a support network?
Your host will provide all the assistance you need. Our
In-country coordinators communicate with our hosts and
counterparts daily. Should you need additional assistance
our In-country coordinators are on site and available.
Will I be safe?
We make every effort to ensure your safety and security. We
urge you to follow those similar security precautions that
you would in your home country.
Do I need teaching experience?
It is not necessary to have prior teaching experience. You
will be matched with your host or a counterpart while
teaching. Your host or counterpart will provide on-the-job
training for you and provide language assistance.
What are the home stays like?
In no time you will be welcomed and become a member of the
family. Our hosts are professionals - teachers, or medical
staff. Many have been hosts for more than seven years. You
will have a separate room in the house with bed/bedding,
closets, fan and sometimes a desk. Thai homes are similar
to Western style homes. You will have breakfast and dinner
at your new home. The noon meal will usually be taken at
your project location. |
